Blackjack combinations and rules

There are many card games nowadays. But the really popular ones are few. One of the most interesting is blackjack. This card game can be found in almost every online casino. Its popularity is due to its simple rules and fast-paced action. All you need to do to win is reach 21 points, or as close to it as possible. Hence, the game is also known as “twenty-one”.

Blackjack Rules

Blackjack has been around for many years. And since the beginning, the rules have undergone serious changes. Now, however, there are many versions, the main difference being not only the size of the bets, but also the specific rules. The most different versions of the game are found at online casinos, where the management comes up with their own rules and variations that may be of interest to visitors.

But all versions of blackjack have one thing in common: the game is played at a table, with rectangles painted on it. They are used to place bets. According to the rules, the game starts with the fact that everyone is dealt two cards in the open. After that you can either take more or leave everything as it is. The point of the game is to beat the dealer, not the other contestants.

Blackjack Cards

The classic version of the game features six standard decks, giving a total of 312 cards. From these the players need to collect 21 points or close to it (but no more). Overcounting automatically means losing. One of the main features of Blackjack is that the suit of cards doesn’t matter. A combination is made up of any cards; only the value of the cards counts. Cards give 10 points, an Ace can be 1 or 11 points to choose from. The number cards correspond to their face value.

Blackjack combinations

Each participant receives two cards at the beginning of the game. If they are an Ace and any picture or “10” then the combination is called “Blackjack”. This is the highest combination and cannot be beaten by anything else. If successful, the player wins the bet at a ratio of 3 to 2.

Features of dialing cards by the dealer

The dealer can only take cards after he has dealt them to the other players. If he has 16 or less points in his hand then he is obliged to draw more cards. At the end of the game all the players’ combinations are compared and it’s decided which of them can beat the dealer. If the dealer busts, then he has to pay the bets to all the other players.

Split

Sometimes during a game, it can happen that a participant receives the first two cards equally. In this case he can split the cards into two hands and play them separately, as if they were two players. This process is called splitting and allows you to increase your chances of winning. However, some casinos have restrictions on how split cards can be played.

That being said, you can’t get a higher hand during splitting. An Ace and a card with a value of 10 will count simply as 21 points. But splitting can bring excitement and intrigue to a game, making it much more interesting.

Doubling down on the first two cards

Sometimes a player may double up on the first two cards. However, the rules for this situation are different for each individual online casino. Therefore, these features should be studied separately. So, in some clubs doubling is available only if there are cards of a certain value.

How to forfeit the game

In some pre-losing situations, a player may try to save his bet. In this case, he must announce that he gives up, but this can only be done before the cards begin to be dealt. More often than not, the dealer offers to do this himself. He does this for players with no more than 10 points on their cards. But if the dealer’s first card is an Ace, you can’t refuse to play.
